Guy Fieri - on fried Oreos and fried pizza

On Tuesday, January 5, 2010, Guy Fieri made a guest appearance on The Jay Leno Show during Kim Kardashian's Earn Your Plug segment.

Today, I've been inundated with requests for Guy Fieri's recipes for Fried Oreos and Fried Pizza. Readers, there is no recipe, per se, but here's how it all went down on Leno.

Fried Oreos - according to me, as directed by Guy Fieri
Ingredients
Oreos (could be double stuff, could be original)
Milk
Flour
Tempura batter (available in most grocery stores; check the Asian section)
Canola oil, for frying

Directions
Preheat oil to 350 degrees F
1. Dip those Oreos deep in milk. Get them completely covered.
2. Dredge the Oreos in flour, coating both sides.
3. Dip the Oreos in prepared tempura batter
4. CAREFULLY drop the Oreos in oil; fry until golden brown and delicious.
5. Serve with vanilla ice cream and chocolate topping (if you can get the chocolate topping out of the squeeze bottle. haha.)
6. According to KK, enjoy once a year.

Deep Fried Pizza - according to me, as directed by Guy Fieri
Ingredients
Pizza skin (that would be pizza dough to the rest of us; commonly found in the frozen foods section of your grocery store)
Pizza sauce
Mozzarella cheese (or pizza cheese mix, check the deli section of your store)
Pepperoni
Other toppings as desired
Water
Canola oil, for frying

Directions
Preheat oil to 350 degrees F
1. Thaw and stretch out the pizza skin
2. Cut each skin in half
3. Slather pizza sauce on one half of each piece of pizza dough
4. Top with cheese, pepperoni and desired toppings
5. With your finger, apply water around the edges of the pizza dough
6. Fold piece in half, creating a calzone-like pizza pocket; pinch the edges together tightly.
7. CAREFULLY drop pizza in oil and fry 5 to 10 minutes

For a limited time, view Guy Fieri, Jay Leno and Kim Kardashian's segment on www.TheJayLenoShow.com or at Hulu, if that platform works better for you.

A brief aside: From @JeffBryanDavis, Had dinner with Guy Fieri last night at a fancy Japanese restaurant. I wish I had something funny to add to that. Which, in itself, is funny.

I will have to try the Guy Fieri fried pizza dough. That sounds great to me. I do experiment with many kinds of pizza and this is a new one for me. Thanks so much for your post!
