Guy Fieri takes himself very seriously

Not! But Guy Fieri is serious about getting the word out on his new game show Minute to Win It and about keeping a tighter lid on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives taping locations.

Guy Fieri participated in a conference call yesterday with journalists from Cincinnati to Canada. Er, I guess that would be from "C to shining C?"

The topic of the day was more information on the game show he will host for NBC, Minute to Win It. Guy said he's content with the Sunday evening time slot and that he "foresees children going to school the next day and talking about the games and how the contestants fared."

But he also fielded questions about the upcoming Diners, Drive-ins and Dives shoot in and around Cincy, Ohio, where Guy expects "one of the wildest shoots ever." Triple D is scheduled to tape there sometime in the next two weeks - mid to late March. Exact dates, times and locations are being kept under wraps. Seriously.

Only Terry Carter, owner of Terry's Turf Club (Facebook) in Linwood, named Ohio's best burger by the Food Network magazine last summer, confirms that Fieri will visit.

Gameshows.About.com has information on Minute to Win It and BuzzerBlog wrote a rather somber prediction for M2WI. Cincinnati.com wrote more information on the Triple D shoot in Cincinnati. And also click here for more on how locations are chosen for Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.

Serious chefs at the SoBe Wine and Food Fest described themselves in dishes. Guy Fieri: I'm a meatball. Video from www.nbcmiami.com.

Did you see those serious body guards behind Guy Fieri? Where is Robert Irvine when you need him? hmm?

Also from Miami's SoBe Wine and Food Festival, Guy ties in with some serious shoes, Havaina flip flops (website), pictured below with fruit, at the SoBe closing party, Luna En Fuego / Moon Over Miami / Moon on Fire party ... or whatever it was called, held at the Gansevoort Hotel on some serious sand.

The man is serious about his shows, perhaps not about shoes.

By the way, what do you think about the new header at the top of the screen? I'm trying it out - not sure if I like it or not. I'll take criticism, if you have it. As always, thanks for reading. ~D
